Whenever the IAB Letters,
Name and or Logo is used in ANY Printed, Video, TV, Audio or Voiced Publication,
Advertisement etc. etc. the www.IABBoxing.com web
address must ALWAYS be listed with it.
Promoter
Requirements For IAB Sanction
- Approval of the IAB Headquarters for
you to host an Officially Sanctioned IAB
Event.
- All sanctioning fees must be paid in full to the IAB
Office, before an event can be advertised as an
IAB sanctioned event.
- For the least expensive price for your event sanctioning fees, we suggest
that you pay your fees a minimum 45 days prior to your scheduled event.
This will assure you a 50% Discount off the regular sanctioning fee for
your event and requested title bout fees.
- Between 44 and 30 days prior to your scheduled event, your fees
will go up, but you will still receive a 25% Discount off the regular
sanctioning fee for your event and requested title bout fees.
- If your sanctioning fees are not received by the IAB
office within 29 days prior to your scheduled event, you will be
required to pay the Full Regular Sanctioning Fee as listed with no pre
pay discount.
- If fees are not received within 10 days prior to your event, your
event will not be sanctioned by the IAB.
(HOWEVER)
Sometimes, late sanctioning agreements are made and sanctioning is
confirmed after fees have been paid under the 10 day limit. Fee discounts can
also vary with first time IAB promoters
scheduling with the IAB inside the payment
discount deadlines.
- Promoters shall include with all "PRO" sanctioning papers a copy
of all professional fighter's contracts.
- Whenever any government commission has jurisdiction over Boxing at an
IAB event, the commission will hold the
weigh-ins and safety equipment check ALONG WITH the IAB event representative.
- All IAB event officials must be
approved by the IAB Head office
BEFORE the event. The IAB event
representative or Associate and IAB
President have the authority to change officials at the event at ANY TIME.

- Each event will have
- One (1) IAB Approved Event Representative in
attendance.
- One (1)
IAB scorekeeper - (
These 2 positions are many times held by 1 person.
The IAB Event Representative or Associate.
).
- A minimum of one (2)
IAB "Certified" Judges and one
(1)
IAB "Certified" Referee. In
areas where IAB officials are not close
by, other arrangements will be made. World Title bouts may require more.
- The promoter must pay for all awards, purses and IAB

- In addition to the general event expenses, Promotional, sanctioning,
purses, venue etc, the event promoter will pay all Officials expenses as well.

ADVERTISING
& PRESENTING RESULTS OF AN
IAB SANCTIONED EVENT Whenever the
IAB Letters, Name and or Logo Is used in ANY
Printed, Video, TV, Audio or Voiced Publication, Advertisement etc. etc. The
www.IABBoxing.com web address Must ALWAYS be listed with it.
"ALL" IAB
Sanctioned Event Advertisements must be Pre-Approved
by the IAB unless the IAB has waived such requirements in "WRITING"
to the Event Promoter.
All IAB Event
Advertisement And Post Event Results must be presented as follows;
- ALL "WRITTEN"
Event Promotional Advertisements (e.g., Posters, Fliers, Hand Outs, Programs,
etc.) or post event Press Releases of event Results must have the Following
on ALL OF THEM;
- The Title: IAB BOXING.
- The Official IAB "LOGO" shown at right or Found
HERE.
- The IAB Web Site Address Listed as:
www.IABBoxing.com
- ALL Publicized IAB Sanctioned titles
"AMATEUR and PRO" must be announced as IAB Titles to avoid confusion of a title of lesser
credibility from another smaller or less credible organization.
- ALL "VOICE" Advertisement
Announcements (Radio Commercials or Any Audio Announcements etc.) must
contain;
- The phrase "Sanctioned by the IAB"
and or "IAB Boxing"
- ALL Publicized IAB Sanctioned titles
"AMATEUR and PRO" must be announced as IAB Titles to avoid confusion of a title of lesser
credibility from another smaller or less credible organization.
- All VIDEO and or
TV Advertisements or production of an IAB Sanctioned Event as well as all post event
Results such as event DVD's or Videos must have;
- "This is an IAB Sanctioned Event"
or "Sanctioned by The IAB" or "IAB Boxing" Mentioned on them.
- ALL Announced IAB Sanctioned titles
"AMATEUR and PRO" must be announced as an IAB Title.

TV/CABLE/PPV PRODUCTION Whenever
the IAB Letters, Name and or Logo Is used in
ANY Printed, Video, TV, Audio or Voiced Publication, Advertisement etc. etc.

- REQUIREMENTS
If
An IAB Event Is Being Filmed for TV/Cable/PPV
Or Any Public Viewing Audience.
- IAB must pre-approve all production
plans a minimum 10 days prior to the event.
- Any commentators used on any IAB
sanctioned event/bout MUST be pre-approved by the IAB
Headquarters. If proposed commentators are not approved by the
IAB the IAB
will provide commentators for the event. These terms will be negotiated by the
IAB and the Promoter.
- All Camera locations on any IAB
sanctioned bout MUST be pre-approved by the IAB
Headquarters.
- All Commentators Audio Set-ups on any IAB
sanctioned event/bout MUST be pre-approved by the IAB
Headquarters.
- FIGHT RING must be approved
by IAB.
- Color of Ring Canvas must be approved by IAB
prior to event. "BLUE" is the preferred color.
- Canvas is the preferred material for the fight ring floor/cover, not vinal.
- There must be a crowd barrier railing surrounding the ring to assure fans
do not crowd the TV Production crew during the event.
- All Ring Lighting must meet the minimum standards for lighting for an IAB. TV Event.
- PRODUCTION
RIGHTS
Of All IAB Sanctioned Events -Filmed
For TV/Cable Or Not-
- All promoters must provide to the IAB
a copy of their "ENTIRE" IAB
Sanctioned event within 7 days after the event date in the highest
possible/available filmed quality of any taping or filming of the event. NOT
FOR RESALE!
- The IAB has authorization to use
ANY video, TV or film of ANY & ALL IAB
Sanctioned events for promotional or instructional purposes. NOT FOR
RESALE!
- The IAB has the right to use ANY
bout footage of any bout fought on an IAB
Sanctioned event for instructional or documentary tapes. NOT FOR RESALE!
- The IAB has the right to use ANY
bout footage of any bout fought on an IAB
Sanctioned event for showing on *any IAB TV Broadcast worldwide. NOT FOR RESALE!
- (*) IF any income would be received
by the IAB for the airing or production of
any of these bouts, or if the event is intended to be sold for PPV, there will
be separately negotiated contract with the IAB
and the event promoter for such use.

Event Requirements For IAB
Promoter These Are General Requirements Keep In Mind There Are
MANY MORE As An event Promoter. Whenever the IAB
Letters, Name and or Logo Is used in ANY Printed, Video, TV, Audio or
Voiced Publication, Advertisement etc. etc. The www.IABBoxing.com
web address Must ALWAYS be listed with it.
- Promoter shall provide fighting gloves for each fighter.
This shall
include for your event a minimum of 3 pairs of 8 ounce gloves and 3 pairs of 10
ounce gloves. This could vary depending upon the fighters weights. This will
prevent long waits between bouts for gloving up and provide an additional pair
in case someone cuts the gloves or laces or a pair is damaged in a bout. For PRO
events with title bouts, a promoter shall have more.
- ALL PROFESSIONAL AND AMATEUR WORLD Title Bout Gloves MUST be "NEW".
- ALL IAB Pro Title bouts shall be
fought with NEW Gloves, unused prior to the title bout.
- Gloves must be approved by the IAB
representative at the event.
- Gloves shall be whole, clean, in sanitary condition and subject to
inspection by the referee or the IAB
representative at the event. Any gloves found to be unfit shall be immediately
discarded and replaced with gloves meeting the above requirements.
- Along with the Ringside Medical doctor, the Promoter must also have Oxygen
and stretcher at ringside for medical emergencies.
- The Required IAB
Ringside Officials.

These
Ringside Officials
must be approved by the IAB for their
qualifications, skill and ability.
- Ring cards and ring girls/guys to display to the crowd which round the bout
is in.
- Promoter shall place 2, 4 x 8 (Sometimes smaller where room is not
available) tables on each side of the ring (8 total) and chairs for
Event Officials.

- A minimum of two separate spaces for fighters to warm-up in.
- Ice to offer all trainers/fighters.
- Ring Announcer.
- Title belts and other awards as needed.
- Event Security.
- All additional needs to support an event, venue, fighters, hotel rooms etc.
Contact the IAB if these areas are
un-clear.
- To Pay ALL PRO Purses to the IAB
Representative or Associate directly after the event
weigh-ins and before the Official event Rules meeting in CASH
or CERTIFIED Checks made out to each PRO Fighter.
The Weigh-ins and
Rules Meeting should both be scheduled on the same day but do not have to be.

Event representative shall hold all fight purses and distribute them to all pro
fighters AFTER the event.
- PAYMENT OF OFFICIALS
Promoter
is required to pay ALL IAB Officials Fees
in Cash or Cashiers Checks to the IAB
Event Representative directly after the event
weigh-ins and before the Official event Rules meeting. This would
include each Officials wage for working your event and any travel fees they may
have (Gas, food, hotel etc.)
